With its beachy ambiance, here you can stroll along tree lined streets with eclectic shopping, laid back bars, cafes and more. Homes include 1950’s style cottages and bungalows to elegant properties overlooking the ocean.
The Northeast area (zip code 92010) consists of single family homes, townhomes and condominiums.
Southeast Carlsbad (zip code 92009) contains the largest number of homes and includes the renowned La Costa Resort and Spa, and therefore nicknamed “La Costa”
Southwest quadrant (zip code 92011) extends along the Pacific Ocean to the south of the center of Carlsbad. Gated communities, including Aviara, align many of these neighborhoods and was ranked by Forbes Magazine as one of the most exclusive areas in the country.
Carlsbad hosts many events, including the Carlsbad Village Street Faire, Gallery Art Walk, holiday activities and the Carlsbad 5000, an annual road running event held in April that attracts elite runners from all over the world not to mention amateurs and juniors. Of course, Carlsbad is also home to the international theme park, Legoland.
